BCC's Fast Track programs are designed to prepare people for a new career in an emerging industry or upgrade their current skills to remain competitive in today's job market. Fast Track programs are short-term immersion programs; classes meet four hours a day, three days a week, for six to nine months. Some Tracks are scheduled during the day; some are scheduled at night. The maximum enrollment in each program is sixteen. All Fast Track classes are held at the BCC North Campus located at 10700 Northup Way in Bellevue.
Fast Track instructors have experience teaching adult learners and career changers, and they possess a wide array of industry experience. BCC has an on-site Test Center that offers all of the examinations required in our certificate programs. Fast Track students are provided with books for each class, practice tests, exam vouchers, and an open lab to support the curriculum and facilitate success.
Fast Track students are considered full-time BCC students and are eligible to utilize the facilities of BCC's Main Campus including the Career Center, Library/Media Center, Childcare Center, and Bookstore. As a Fast Track student, MSDN Academic Alliance software is also available at no charge through the Media Center located at the Main Campus of Bellevue Community College.
Students enrolled in the Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) Track must complete the full program curriculum to receive credit. For this Track, students may elect to receive letter grades (A, B, C, etc.), pass or fail grades (P/F), or may elect to audit the classes without receiving a grade. The Database Administration (MCDBA) track is for credit but is not assessed and, therefore, there are no options for grades. Instead, completion of the MCDBA track and the issuance of credits are based on 70% attendance. Students in all Tracks will be issued a BCC transcript upon completion of their program.
REGISTRATION
Please register for a Track early. A Track will be canceled by BCC and will not run if there is an insufficient number of registrants at 3:00pm on the third business day prior to the scheduled start date.
WITHDRAWAL AND REFUND POLICY
After registering, a full refund will be made if a student cancels at least three business days prior to the start date of the Track. No refunds, full or partial, will be granted for the Track or for any classes within the Track after that date. Full refunds of tuition will be made if BCC cancels the program.
PRACTICE TESTS
Students enrolled in Fast Track program may, but are not required to, take a practice test prior to each certification exam that is included in the Track. The cost of the practice test is included in the Fast Track tuition. The practice test serves as a baseline in the study and preparation for the certification examination. The practice test must be activated by the student within 90 days of the day that it is issued to BCC, and then used by the student within 180 days of the date of activation. If the two timeframes are not adhered to, the exam becomes unavailable to the student. In that event, the exam can not be re-issued to BCC and a replacement test will not be purchased by BCC for the student.
CERTIFICATION EXAMINATIONS
Students are strongly urged to take and pass certification examinations to meet the goals of the Fast Track Program. The exams are designed for professionals working in the industry; it is not uncommon to take exams more than once before passing. BCC does not guarantee that anyone who takes a particular Fast Track program will pass any or all exams.
Each Fast Track student will be issued one voucher for each exam required in the Track. Vouchers are issued through the Test Center located at the North Campus, and are available to students up to one year from the start date of the Fast Track program.
SHORT TERM LOANS
BCC has a loan program for those who cannot afford to pay the entire tuition at the time they register. Under the terms of this loan program, the student is expected to pay at least half of the tuition, and BCC will lend the remainder which is due in equal monthly installments over the length of the Track. The loan is interest-free, but there is a $50.00 application fee. The Fast Track refund policy mentioned above is applicable, and if a student elects to withdraw from a Track after the first class has begun, the student will still owe BCC 100% of the loan principal.
FUNDING FOR UNEMPLOYED WORKERS

JOB PLACEMENT
BCC does not provide job placement and does not maintain placement statistics of the Fast Track Program graduates, but Fast Track students can take advantage of the services of the BCC Career Center located on the Main Campus.
SCHEDULE CHANGES
BCC reserves the right to modify or extend the schedule of a class or the entire Track due to weather or other unforeseen situations that may arise.
